Level 3 of Youth Tech-novation: Empowering Youth through Digital Skills, themed Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship has been successfully conducted from March 25 to April 25, 2026
This milestone marks a powerful step forward for our third and fourth-year students, equipping them not just with technical knowledge, but with the confidence and capability to transform digital skills into real-world opportunities. From exploring freelancing pathways to building entrepreneurial ideas, students created impactful ideas centered on social venture digital innovation, addressing pressing issues relevant to youth centers, Sherig Bhutan (the Ministry of Education and Skills Development [MoESD]), and schools.
The top three ideas will go to represent the programme at an upcoming Hackathon scheduled for May/June (2026), giving our students a platform to further refine and showcase their innovations
This initiative was led by the Programme and Youth Coordination Division under the Department of Education Programmes, MOESD in collaboration with UNICEF Bhutan and other key agencies. The programme directly addresses Bhutan’s growing digital gap and youth unemployment challenge by focusing on practical, marketable skills. It has opened new doors for our students especially in navigating the 21st-century landscape with innovation and resilience.
While Level 3 concludes, the journey continues with Level 2 still underway, further strengthening the foundation for a digitally empowered generation
