What began as curiosity about the fascinating name of G-Fest soon turned into a memorable and rewarding experience for our students! GCIT students who participated in the programme hosted by Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS) stepped beyond their comfort zones, putting their teamwork, productivity, and resilience to the test while working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Held in Gedu from October 10, the programme brought together 16 colleges, including 12 national and four international institutions, with participants competing across five categories. Our team secured 1st runner-up in the Boundless category, marking a proud achievement for GCIT!
Khenden Zangmo, a fourth-year AI&DS student, shared that the programme gave her the opportunity to step beyond the usual classroom setting and build confidence in sharing her ideas with others. “The experience was both enjoyable and informative, and I’m grateful to GCIT for giving us this opportunity and to GCBS for organising such a meaningful event. It was definitely an experience that helped me learn, grow, and see things from a new perspective.”
Purna Bahadur Rana , also a fourth-year AI&DS student, highlighted the value of connecting with peers from different colleges, exchanging ideas, and learning from diverse perspectives. He reflected that the experience reminded him how much there is to learn beyond the classroom, especially when stepping into new environments and embracing unfamiliar challenges.
Congratulations to our team on this achievement and for representing GCIT with determination, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn! Experiences like G-Fest remind us that growth happens not only in the classroom but also through collaboration, new challenges, and meaningful connections.
