calendar_monthOctober 23, 2026
GCIT recently held Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) finals, bringing students together for a day devoted to competitive gaming.
Organized by GCIT Literary and Interactive Arts (LIA) Club together with the Bhutan Esports Association, team Khass faced Team Khilkhor in the finals. In a hard-fought series, team Khass came out on top with a 3-1 victory to claim the championship title.
Congratulations to Team Khass on a well-earned win, and well played game to Team Khilkhor, who made the final contest to the very end. Thank you to the 16 teams who took part.
To prepare for the competition and for wider Esports advocacy at GCIT, a session, led by Ms Sherab Lhaden from the Bhutan Esports Association was also held. She introduced students to how Esports works and the career paths it opens up, from professional play to casting, event management, and content creation. It also highlighted the skills of gaming builds, such as teamwork, strategy, quick decision-making, and communication, and encouraged students to game responsibly and to keep a healthy balance with their studies and wellbeing.
We would like to thank Sherab Lhaden for conducting the session, and the LIA Club and the Bhutan Esports Association for organizing the tournament.
