The campus radiated with joy and an overwhelming sense of pride with gratitude yesterday on June 18, as loving family members and the entire GCIT community gathered to celebrate the graduation of the GCIT Class of 2026. This cohort has blossomed into something truly extraordinary, carrying the torch of a transformative curriculum with skills from the School of Future Computing and School of Interactive Design and Development that is lighting the path toward a tech future for Bhutan.
GCIT was honoured to have Chief Guest, Mr. Pang Yee Ean, co-CEO of Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) to grace the occasion. Mr Pang delivered an inspiring speech followed by an engaging interactive session with our 2026 graduates that sparked a powerful exchange of ideas, ambitions, and employment vision that left the entire audience motivated towards BIG strategies.
Our GCIT Madam President in her speech also reminded our graduates that as we are intertwined in this AI revolution, “Do not confuse AI computation with human comprehension, and do not confuse AI output with Human Purpose. Artificial Intelligence does not grow, it merely updates whereas you EVOLVE.” With this advice our graduates took to the stage with confidence, grace, and heart, reflecting on their journey and the bright futures ahead. They didn’t just graduate, they soared!
The world now stands before them, full of infinite possibilities, and the GCIT community couldn’t be prouder. The best is truly yet to come.
Congratulations to the 2026 graduates cohort!
