Celebrating Innovation and Youth Excellence!

We are proud to share that GCIT teams delivered outstanding performances and were recognized for their innovative solutions at the Youth Tech-Novation Hackathon 2026, organized by the Programme and Youth Coordination Division under the Department of Education Programmes.

The participating teams earned their place at the Hackathon after successfully completing the Youth Tech-Novation Level 2 and Level 3 Training Programme: Empowering Youth Through Digital Skills and being selected among the top three teams from each level to represent GCIT.

The seed fund support awarded through the Hackathon will enable the teams to further refine their solutions, strengthen their prototypes, and transform their innovative ideas into impactful projects. Winning teams received Nu. 150,000, first runner-up teams received Nu. 100,000, and second runner-up teams received Nu. 50,000.

Programmes such as Youth Tech-Novation are instrumental in fostering innovation, creativity, and digital competencies among GCIT students. By providing hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to solve real-world challenges, these initiatives empower young people to develop practical skills, think critically, and become confident leaders in an increasingly digital world.
