GCIT has signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SingHealth to collaborate on innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare initiatives from diagnostics to personal care. This partnership marks a significant milestone in GCITโ€™s journey towards becoming a leading global institution in Applied Research and responsible Tech Innovation in Bhutan, GMC and beyond.

The MOU will strengthen GCITโ€™s Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), creating new opportunities for our SFC & SIDD faculty team and students to engage in impactful interdisciplinary research and global collaborations.

The AI model, developed by GCIT with clinical guidance from SingHealth, is expected to be implemented in 2027 across the 3 healthcare hospitals in Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC).

By integrating AI into healthcare systems, GCIT aspires to contribute towards a future where digital technologies can support more accessible, efficient, and data-driven healthcare services.
