Dr. Alex Lum facilitated a series of focused sessions for faculty, covering:

Research design, methods, and analysis ranging from identifying research gaps and formulating journal aligned topics to publication, dissemination, and research ethics, including Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals and informed consent.

Global research engagement through hackathons, conferences, and grants, while exploring interdisciplinary approaches and positioning AI as a human-centred application across technology, design, and humanities.

Mentorship dialogues on ongoing and emerging research collaborations, with key discussions on strengthening institutional research capacity and strategising the establishment of a Research Centre of Excellence (RCE) at GCIT.
