This project introduces the National Digital Voting (NDV) system for Bhutan, built on the Ethereum blockchain to ensure a secure, transparent, and inclusive electoral process. Traditional methods like EVMs and postal ballots face challenges such as fraud risks, limited accessibility in remote areas, and lack of transparency. The NDV system addresses these issues by using blockchain’s immutability and decentralization. It enables secure, anonymous voting through unique digital identities
and automates vote counting with smart contracts. A user-friendly web app integrated with custodial wallets allows voters to cast ballots from anywhere. Supporting both primary and general election rounds, the NDV system enhances electionintegrity, voter accessibility, and public trust in the democratic process.
