On November 17 (2025), GCIT welcomed Mr Jeff, a Blockchain and De-Fi Practitioner who oversees Crypto, Blockchain Product and 300+Developers from Singapore. Mr Jeff Cheong spend the week with GCIT staff and students covering:

• Application of Asset Tokenisation to Real-World Assets.
• Exploration of how De-Fi projects and Protocols (lending, staking, yield farming & stable coins) function.
•  Finance & Digital Assets with its Ecosystems of Key players from Issuers, Exchanges, Custodians and etc.
• Qore3 wallet with the use of MPC technology to grow Digital Assets.
• Interactive Hands on Sessions with De-Fi uses cases and the formulation of Web3 Projects for Education.

Mr Jeff also covered salient topics like Bitcoin, consensus mechanisms, smart contracts and blockchain’s role in speeding up transactions and removing intermediaries in various business sectors.

This workshop is imperative as GCIT gears up for introducing Smart City Electives where Tokenisation & De-Fi modules will be incumbent for #GCITSOC and #GCITSIDD students.

Our GCIT students from Startup, Fintech Innovation Lab and Studio K also had the opportunity to have a keynote session with Mr Jeff and he championed conversations answering questions regarding De-Fi Entrepreneurship and inspiring them to explore the Transformative Digital Economy.
