A Meaningful Dialogue with the Vice Chancellor of RUB
calendar_monthAugust 25, 2026
We were honoured to welcome the Vice Chancellor of the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) to our campus today.
In a warm and engaging interaction with our staff and students, the Vice Chancellor spoke about RUB’s journey towards becoming a globally relevant university and encouraged us to embrace a growth mindset while staying connected to our unique cultural values.
He emphasised that our responsibility goes beyond producing skilled graduates, as education must also nurture individuals of genuine character, integrity, and purpose. He encouraged students to pause and reflect on their journey and purpose at college, and to use AI responsibly and thoughtfully.
Among all the messages shared, one stood out for its simplicity: “Be a good human being.” It was a meaningful reminder that education is as much about who we become as it is about what we learn. We sincerely thank the Vice Chancellor for spending time with the GCIT community, listening, sharing, encouraging and for inspiring us to continue learning, growing, and striving for excellence with purpose.
