From engaging discussions to hands-on applied training, GCIT recently organised an inspiring cybersecurity session filled with knowledge, innovation, and real-world security insights.

𝐀 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭

We were honoured to have Mr. Giancarlo Florit, a renowned cybersecurity strategist, Red Team Lead, and founder of Cyber Armour to be part of GCIT industry ecosystem. With international experience across Europe, the United States, and Latin America, he brought a truly global perspective to GCIT.

Mr. Giancarlo Florit engaged with students and staff, shedding light on:

• Emerging cyber threats

• Real-world attack scenarios

• Growing importance of digital resilience.

Through interactive engagements, our SFC Students gained:

• Practical cybersecurity awareness

• Dark Web and Hacking

• Cyber Entrepreneurship Knowledge

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠

An intensive training session was also conducted for our GCIT Cyber Security faculty members, focusing on:

Red Teaming (Offensive Security)

Blue Teaming (Defensive Security)

 Purple Teaming (Collaborative Security)

CTF-based security practices

 Malware reverse engineering

Ethical hacking techniques

𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝

These sessions have strengthened the formation and usage of our new Cyber fitness Lab and enhancing Cybersecurity programmes at GCIT.
