On 30th March, the GCIT Basketball Tournament 2026 came to a thrilling conclusion, a competition that kicked off earlier this semester with 10 teams battling it out for the championship title.

The final brought together two determined sides: the combined 1st Year SOC C & SOC D team and the 3rd Year Blockchain team. From tip-off to the final buzzer, both teams gave everything they had, in the end, 3rd Year Blockchain emerged as champions with a score of 49–45. It was a well-deserved victory that reflects their hard work, composure, and teamwork throughout the tournament.

A huge congratulations to the Blockchain team, and an equally big shoutout to every player who competed this semester. Win or lose, you all showed up, gave your best, and made this tournament one to remember.
