Pickleball is a fast-growing paddle sport that combines elements of tennis , badminton , and table tennis . Played on a smaller court, it is easy to learn yet highly engaging, making it suitable for intergenerational players and all skill levels.
For GCIT, pickleball provides balance beyond academics, giving a meaningful space to ease stress, enhance GNH well-being, and foster stronger connections among the players. It also provides students and staff an opportunity to connect and maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Led by International coaches Mr. Darren Ho, Mr. Wai Kit, Mr. Darren Lau, and Miss Phoebe, the sessions focused on skill-building, gameplay techniques, and hands-on practice. Beyond the technical aspects, the sport encouraged participants to stay physically active, improve coordination and reflexes, and build teamwork and communication skills.
A fun-filled tournament was also held on the final day, adding a spirit of friendly competition and celebration to the experience.
Thank you to the coaches and our Madam President for bringing in a new sport for GCIT.
